We where camping at the Tsitsikamma Nature Park with the family. I (Jetro) decided I would ask Gemma to marry me at the national park during that time. We where there from the start of the week on Sunday, during the week I was waiting for the right time to ask her to marry me. As the days went by I finally decided that on the Friday I would take her somewhere that was absolutely gorgeous and quiet and ask her to marry me. So, I decided that we would hike to the hanging bridge near by the lookout point that looked into a cavern on the one side and the sea on the other. So, I told her we must leave nice and early thus to miss the tourists. On Friday Morning I was lazy and didn’t want to get up, but she somehow got me out of my tent and we went off. So, we started hiking the trail that would take us to the perfect point, but the problem was, because she is an artist she wanted to take a photo of ever plant and tree we saw because she wanted to draw them when we got back. Me wanting to get her to the point kept on saying we can take the photos later, all I wanted was to get to the lookout point and ask her to marry me. She had no idea what was happening and really did not get the hint. So, the walk took a little longer than expected but yea we got there finally. All the time we were walking I was stressing so much because I had the ring in my pocket and I was so afraid I would lose it, so my hand was constantly in my right pocket and had to always make sure she was walking on my left so that she would notice, it worked, somehow. Once we got there I tried looking for the perfect place to ask her and I found it, so she was walking in front of me and then I went down on one knee and took out the ring then called her name. She turned around there I was holding the ring. I ask her if she would make me the happiest man ever and would she marry me. Of course, she said yes otherwise I would not be telling this story and so the new story of our lives begins.
